The other new dog

So in my last post I told you about the new small dog we got, now I will tell you the story of the big dog.

Last week Levi kept us up off and on one night complaining of his ear hurting so we took him to his pediatrician in Little Rock. We stayed the night at my mim's house.

Steve had to meet his brother in Cabot for something. Steve called and asked me if he wanted me to call and meet up breeder about a dog he had been looking into. I told him no not right now.

I wasn't completely sold on the idea of a big dog. I had talked my self out of a Great Dane. I had always wanted one, but wasn't sold on idea of house breaking and training a dog. Just not sure.

Well, I went with my sister to my nieces swim meet, and steve had left Levi with my mom for a couple of hours. When I got back there was Steve with this big puppy.

She is an Airedale Terrier. She will get anywhere between 75-100 pounds. Her mom was 100 pounds.

So now was are house breaking a dog. I am not enjoying it all all. Ugh my husband! Gotta love him!!! : )

Oh and she is already bigger than what she was in these pictures.

New Dogs

I have to start when Steve and I first got married. We knew we wanted something to take care of but didn't think we were ready for kids, so we did the next best thing and got a dog. We decided on a miniature schnauzer. We loved her so much and she was the best dog.

So fast forward a eight years, we are now living in Amity, AR. We don't have a fence and we (Steve, Levi, Micah, and I) were all at the road cleaning out the back of Steve's truck. Izzy came out there with us and she walked into the road. Steve called her and she came back, but about that time a truck came by and hit her.

I didn't want a dog for the longest time, but last Tuesday Steve con me into going to look at a toy miniature schnauzer. I fell in love with her. She is six months old and the breeder needed to get rid of her, so we got a great price. She has adapted so well.

We got another dog but that is another story for another day! Ha!
