my projects!

I have been extremely busy lately. I have finally finished the cabinets in the kitchen and I have painted the china cabinets this beautiful blue shade.
This is the China Cabinet. I wasn't too sure about the blue at first but it is beautiful!!!

I also got a new bedspread, but I am not sure that I love it. I think it may be a bit too casual.

So you can see that I have been very busy and I have done this in about a three week period of time. It was fun. I had a lot of help from my friend Shawna. She is really good a at decorating. Well if you have any suggestions or comments let me know.

Not Me! Monday

Not Me! Monday

I didn't not pick our a paint and painted part of my cabinets and decided i didn't like it. Nope not me! I would definitely not do that! I didn't not have my husband go and change it!

I surely wouldn't take a bath then put back on pj because who really cares what i look like I just stay at home with my babies. no I don't do that.

I really don't look forward to bed time because it is so quiet and I can hear myself think, nope not me. Why what kind of mom would I be.

NO I don't look for excuses to get new (either gently used or clearances) cloths for my boy. I don't really enjoy buying them cloths and I certainly don't enjoy dressing them really cute. I mean come on have you see them they are just so adorable.


No I did not go the this furniture sale and go "just to look" and end up buying a new black leather couch...Nope not me! I would not spend my income tax money that I have been saving trying to figure out what to do with.

No I am really enjoying this Post, nope not at all. I don't like telling all the weird quirks that I have or maybe they aren't so weird.

Jesus peed in the grass...

Finally got a catching title. You'll understand later on the blog.


We had an interesting day yesterday evening. Steve and I were outside spray painting these saloon style swinging door and we need to let them dry so we came inside. Well, Micah got mad because he didn't want to come inside for a minute. Steve sat Micah down on the couch and walked away because a fit was persueing. My darling child threw him self backwards on the couch them proceeded to fall to the where he hit his head on the vacume cleaner. It was aweful. He gashed his head open. So Steve look at it and we went to the ER in Arkadelphia which is about 30 minutes away. Well after about an hour to an hour and half in the ER we came out with three staples in the back of his head. It was a crazy.

Well, on the way home after we ate dinner Steve and I were talking to Levi our three year old. We had the most amazing converstaion with him. This is how it went.

I asked "Levi where is the moon?" I was uses a distraction because he was wanting something that we couldn't reach for him.

Levi answered "There is no moon. He is sleeping."

I replied "Then were is the sun?"

Levi exclaimed, "He is sleeping too!"

"Okay" I said Lets try something different "Who made the sun and the moon?"

Levi exclamed again really loud "JESUS!!!"

And of course my heard bursted with joy that he new this and thankful that we have such wonderful teachers at church that he knows this.

Then I asked "Where is Jesus?"

Levi replied, "Right there" Pointing to the font of the car or ahead of us one not really sure what he ment here, but he does.

"Does Jesus Love you?" I asked.

"Yes Jesus Loves Me" Levi said.

Steve replied "yes Jesus loves you very much"

Levi "My Jesus loves me!"

Here is the part where I well up with tears. Children really know and have an understanding of faith. It really puts into scripture into effect.

Then Levi goes into talking about how Jesus peed on the grass. I died laughing at this part. Steve didn't think is was so funny. He said that he would end up saying it in church.

I looked at in in a different way. I see that Levi sees Jesus as a really person. I think that it is great. Yes I know that He is just three, but this is where it starts. Scripute say to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart of the path.

Not Me! Monday

I love the thought of Not Me! Monday. It came from MckMama. I don't know how good I will be at it, but I thought I would give it a try.

I did not just sit on the couch and try to sleep this morning while my children watch Mickey Mouse Club house. I certainly did not stay up till 12:00 a.m watching a movie with my loving husband. I did not stay up till 1:00 in the morning cleaning because we had some Friends coming from Oklahoma and I wanted my house to be clean from top to bottom.

We really didn't paint my kitchen and living room in six hours on Saturday and my husband certainly didn't step in the paint can, which didn't make a huge mess. We didn't scrap what paint we could off the floor and use on the walls. We didn't forget to paint the part under the build in china cabinet. I didn't try to encourage children stay in there room while we did all of this.

I certainly didn't loose track of the days my children had got a bath. It hadn't been three day since they had a bath. They didn't not go from Wednesday night to Sunday morning with out having a bath....nope not me!

I don't wash things in pockets of clothing all the time because I forget to check so see if there is anything in them.

the faces my child makes

Micah has always been an expressive child. I remember him making this awful face when he was about six months old. People use to laugh and think is was so funny and I thought that it was just plain ugly. Well, his face making still continues in a different ways. Here are a couple.



This are just the few that I have been able to capture. They are crazy faces. I look and him and just think what are you doing my child. I guess the good part is that I know what he is thinking. He does not hide his feelings at all. I don't know where he gets that from...lol.

Happy birthday to you!

Since Levi's birthday was in August, mine was the 3rd, and then my niece celebrated hers on the 6th we have sung the "happy birthday" song several times. Now the boys sing the song. Even little Micah goes around singing, "Appy birday to wou" and then Levi hands Micah a birthday present. It is so cute. I wish I would video tape it and put it on here for you guys to get the full effect. Ever day is a birthday now in my house.

When we went to my niece's birthday party Levi got to hold all of her present and help her unwrap a couple. Good thing she is 12 and being nice by letting him help. I can't imagine how it is going to be when Micah's birthday come in December and then Christmas. You know before we know it, it will be that time of year again. Better get started on the shopping. Maybe if I start thinking about it now I will have it done before December comes. Usually I am the person shopping the week of Christmas.

Well, this blog has been kind of random, but it was what was on my mind.
